Requirements
Inference Search 0.3.4 requires WordPress 6.4+, PHP 7.4+ and active WooCommerce 8.0+.
Install Free
- Install and activate WooCommerce.
- In WordPress, open Plugins → Add New and search for Inference Search for WooCommerce. Alternatively, download the ZIP from WordPress.org and choose Upload Plugin.
- Install and activate the plugin.
- The product index builds in the background. Follow progress under Inference Works → Search → Index.
- Open your store and click its search field. Test a product name and SKU, including on a phone.
Product changes are indexed automatically afterwards. Background jobs use Action Scheduler bundled with WooCommerce. If WP-Cron is unavailable, a server administrator can run wp infs reindex.
Add search to a page
Existing theme search fields are taken over automatically. You can also add the Product search block or the [inference_search] shortcode. Both add a button that opens the overlay.
